As a mother, wife, and business owner, Ivonne Flores has understood the immense importance of approaching her daily life with a sense of equanimity, which is why she chose to pursue formal training in the areas of Mindfulness and Somatics.
Ivonne began her journey in mindfulness through the writings of great teachers such as Ram Dass, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Jack Kornfield; while her understanding of somatics has been heavily influenced by teachers such as Peter Levine and Dr. Gabor Maté.
Ivonne Flores’ approach is that of an intuitive individual who works closely with her clients to guide them back to their essential and innate power and wisdom. She approaches her clients from a trauma-informed background and holds space for each patient with deep compassion to help foster self-acceptance. Ivonne believes that Somatics and Mindfulness create a beautiful intertwining of two powerful modalities that allow for the emergence of hidden facets within the individual. While some individuals can progress well without the need for additional therapeutics, she has found that the addition of a safely controlled psychotropic medication can be a powerful enhancement to her sessions.
She works with Dr Kristian Flores to provide ketamine-assisted somatic mindfulness sessions to safely treat patients with complex conditions such as chronic pain, post-traumatic stress, post-acute covid syndrome (long covid), and hypermobility spectrum/Ehler-Danlos syndrome. Her formal training includes Mindfulness Facilitation Certification from the Cooper Beech Institute and Somatic Psychedelic Facilitation from the Embody Lab.
When Ivonne is not seeing clients, she can be found forest bathing at her home in the woods or teaching art as a volunteer at the local elementary and middle schools.
